Emma Jeng is a British actress of English and Gambian heritage, originally from Bradford, UK. She began her performing arts training at Intake High School, now known as Leeds West Academy, before earning a BA (Hons) in Creative Arts from the University of Birmingham. She later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Acting at Birmingham School of Acting.
She is known for her emotionally charged and magnetic performances that blend raw social realism with sharp comedic timing. Culturally diverse and & working class by background, she brings depth, authenticity and originality to every role, whether its gritty drama or off beat comedy.
Her television credits include Riot Women (2025), playing alongside Joanna Scanlan in a five-part drama series written and directed by BAFTA-winner Sally Wainwright. She has also appeared in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, and Doctors, working with actors such as Christopher Timothy, Natalie Robb, David Neilson, and Julie Hesmondhalgh.
Her film work includes Losing My Mind (2023), Foxes (2015), Second Wind (2014), The Advisor (2013), Romeo & Juliet (2009), The System Remix (2004), Unconditional Love (2001), and Large (2001).
She has also featured in UK and European commercial campaigns, working alongside well-known comedic performers like Barbara Windsor, Omid Djalili, Daniel Taylor, Craig Murray, and Sarah Hadland. Her commercial credits include MoneySupermarket.com, Veet Wax Strips, Quality Solicitors, JackpotJoy, Smart Life Insurance, and PlusNet.
With a compelling presence, versatility, and growing body of work Emma continues to develop her career across television and film.
